MuleSoft Announces Mule ESB Cloud Connector for EBay Company, Magento

SAN FRANCISCO, CA–(Marketwire – Aug 2, 2011) – MuleSoft, provider of the #1 integration platform for the cloud, web and enterprise, today announced the release of a Mule Cloud Connector for Magento. Now users can easily integrate the cloud-based Magento service with their other applications using Mule ESB, a lightweight, powerful open source enterprise service bus (ESB) and integration platform that allows developers to quickly and easily connect applications together on-premise and in the cloud.

Recently acquired by EBay, Magento is the fastest growing eCommerce platform with over 225 solution providers, 100,000 merchants and brands worldwide. It is a feature-rich, professional Open Source eCommerce platform solution that offers merchants complete flexibility and control over the presentation, content, and functionality of their online channel. Mule’s Magento connector exposes Magento APIs for order tracking, customer management, stock management, invoicing, product management, categorization and more, offering a Java interface to the API and integration with Mule’s Flow orchestration capabilities.

The Magento connector is one of the many connectors hosted on the MuleForge developer center. MuleForge provides a place for the Mule community to develop and share reusable Mule extensions such as connectors, add-ons, integration pattern, and tooling. Other recent contributions to MuleForge include connectors for popular technologies and cloud services, including Salesforce.com, Apple iOS, Twitter, PayPal, NetSuite, Mongo DB and PubNub, among others.

“Mule Cloud Connectors make it dead-simple to integrate with the most popular SaaS and cloud services using Mule,” said Mateo Almenta Reca, Director of Product Management at MuleSoft. “Because Magento is one of the most widely used eCommerce platforms and is relied upon by many of our customers, it was a ‘no-brainer’ to host a Magento connector on the MuleForge. With this level of connectivity, both on-premise and in the cloud, Mule continues to distinguish itself as the number one integration platform for modern applications.”
