Is there any alive meta-languages that compiles to PHP like CoffeeScript for js or Kotlin for jvm? All projects that I found are dead. Reason why I’m asking: I like Laravel and php ecosystem in general and pretty happy with tooling and performance, but don’t like how PHP syntax evolves.
