How to create a registration form in standard checkout magento 1.9

I need to create a user registration form in magento 1.9, but on the magento checkout page, and register the user at the end of the purchase. But I don’t know the correct way to do this working in magento 1.9 checkout. Is it possible to do it using magento’s own normal user registry controller?
