Goal: loop this video smoothly.
Problem: It’s a real shot of ocean waves, not an animation, so it doesn’t have two identical frames at different parts of the video that can be identified and used to loop.
Instead, two similar frames (at separate parts of the video) or sections of the video need to be identified in order to loop.
I’ve tried manually trimming and editing it in DaVinci Resolve 18 and adding a crossfade to get it to work, but I haven’t managed to create anything smooth.
However, this website seems to nail this functionality perfectly! Only issue is that it has a 10MB upload limit, so I had to use a low resolution version of the video, but when testing with a 720p version of the video, it did a very good job of creating a smoothly looping version of this video.
I’m looking for a similar program/script/website that achieves this functionality without the 10MB limit. Any platform is fine, also fine if I have to compile the program myself. Just trying to find anything that can perform this task.
I know there are motion tricks you can do with the camera (panning, zooming, etc.) to create the illusion of a perfect loop, but in this case the camera needs to not move (no zoom, panning, etc.) Difficult task, but clearly possible given that website I linked before.
