Since late June 2025, I have been getting this popup dialog whenever I open Outlook 365. The message displayed is:
“The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified. The target principal name is incorrect.”
I’ve configured Outlook to use Comcast POP3 servers. Yet the certificate is issued to imap.email.comcast.net.
Issued by Norton but also by Comodo.
I’ve called Norton, Microsoft and Comcast, but to no avail.
Has anyone else run into this and did you find a solution. I prefer not to use imap since I have multiple comcast email accounts and Outlook doesn’t support a unified mailbox.
