I have a five-year-old Dell Inspiron 7506 2-in-1, which has Windows 11, 12 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD. I am trying to replace it with Linux and I have tried to install Fedora 42 and 43 and also a Linux Mint 22.2.
I have created Linux USB flash drives using the Rufus app on Windows, and based on information on various forums — including Stack Exchange sites — changed and re-changed many settings in the BIOS. But I cannot get the install applications to show the SSD to install onto.
If I remove the USB flash drive, it will still boot into Windows.
