Scanner appears in device manager as a camera

It’s a “3d” type scanner so is treated as a camera by device manager. It has its own software suite which I installed but they are not connecting/working together. In device manager,it is called scanner but is under cameras. Windows will not allow me to put the manufacturer’s drivers, it keeps putting the windows drivers e.g usbvideo.sys.
There is no sys or inf files in the manufacturer’s installation files.
The scanner is useless as it is. I have windows 11 which is up to date.
Any suggestions please anyone?
