Is there any risk of harm to an external SSD connected to laptop while the laptop was fully discharged?

I was connecting external SSD to my laptop, I left my laptop open and the laptop battery got discharged while the SSD still connected to it, I have 2 questions

1. Is there is any physical/electrical harm to the External SSD being connected to the laptop and the laptop got fully discharged?
2. If a laptop was fully discharged while an external SSD is Connected to it, then it got plugged to the charger and the SSD still connected to it while the laptop is turning on after the discharge. Is there is any harm to the external SSD while the laptop is turning on after being off due to the discharge?
