Microsoft is no longer selling Windows 10 licenses on the official store. I have an old PC that doesn’t support Windows 11, so the most I can install is Windows 10. I’ve read different opinions on whether a Windows 11 product key would activate a copy of Windows 10. So far I’ve not found an official statement. I need to know before buying, since Windows 11 licenses cost well over 100 bucks.
If I bought a Windows 11 Home retail license, could I use the product key to activate a freshly installed Windows 10 Home? (provided I didn’t activate any windows 11 previously with the same key).
