I did start with Ubuntu-Mate 22.04 (It was not possible with the installation procedure of Mate 24.04 to replace a former Ubuntu-Distro by Mate 24.04 (automatic installation). Therefore installed Mate 22.04, in a DualBoot (Win11) and replaced the former installed Ubuntu-Gnome.
And after all installed Mate 24.04 via … sudo do-release-upgrade.
Two weeks ago installed Kubuntu as second Desktop on the same ext4 partition as Mate.
A hint what I have found :
sudo apt remove mate-*
I did check synaptic : search mate and also found a lot installed packages of ubuntu-mate-* packages like : ubuntu-mate-desktop.
For me its only to reduce a bit SSD-Memory consumption, but I can not decide how is the influence to Kubuntu by removing some packages.
There for my question : Which packages in context of Mate can be removed without any influence of the KDE system ?
