I copied from broken hard disk on Windows laptop to image file in external hard drive by ddrescue.
After that, image file wrote to another running hard disk (same model as broken).
That succeeded and laptop was able to work normally at that time.
The problem is I deleted partition information by mistake after that.
I tried TestDisk and it succeeded at first glance but partition information different between that hard disk to virtual mounted original disk image. (in TestDisk)
Maybe the easiest choice is to copy from image file to hard disk again.
However, I some changed on that laptop already.
So, if able, how to copy only partition information (not all files copy) from disk image to hard disk by some method?
I’m not native English user so sorry if it is simple question and possibly exist likely question.
Below perhaps necessary information.
- That HDD is MBR.
- I can “Ultimate Boot CD”.
Added partition list in TestDisk (unfortunately Linux machine put away already).
