I use Windows 10. I have a VPN that creates a dynamic Tun2Socks tunnel. By “dynamic” I mean it only exists when I’m using the VPN.
When I’m not using the VPN all my dns traffic goes through DNSCrypt. Since the Tun2Socks device is dynamic any changes I make to the DNS settings there will not persist. And, whenever I try to point the IPv4 to my DNS it always fails with an error saying that I also need to specify an IP address to use in addition to setting its DNS settings.
I’ve asked my Hallucinator (AI) and it seems to be stuck in a loop. Things I’ve tried include:
- Creating and using a Microsoft KM-TEST Loopback Adapter.
- Various tweaks to my dnscrypt toml file. None of them worked.
What do you suggest?
