Mac OS El Capitan write to ext4 linux machine using rsync?

Computer 1 runs Mac OS El Capitan. there is nothing installed that would allow it to write to an ext 4 file system (and it does not do so natively). I don’t believe that El Capitan can natively mount ext4.

computer 2 runs Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon with “openssh-server” package installed. All mounted partitions are ext4 file system.

I run
rsync –delete
on computer 1 which is intended to write data and delete data on computer 2. In other words, it will write and delete if successful.

Will the ext4 file system on the destination cause a problem with write and/or delete?
