How to make rsync NOT update mount directory access time(or make it work)?

I have this /etc/fstab mount point:

UUID=73bb0d66-c1ec-476a-b34b-e8de7e185660  /media/A ext4 defaults,noauto,nosuid,nofail,x-systemd.device-timeout=5 0 2

when not mounted, /media/A is owned by root:root, after mounting it sudo mount /media/A will be root:user and privileges 775.

rsync command provides this annoying, actual error masking output:

rsync -a --delete --inplace --exclude=lost+found/ /media/B/  /media/A/
rsync: [generator] failed to set times on "/media/A/.": Operation not permitted (1)
rsync error: some files/attrs were not transferred (see previous errors) (code 23) at main.c(1356) [sender=3.2.7]

I got it, it failed to update the time of mount dir. But a) I have no idea why, as I cannot see anything preventing it b) I don’t care about root mount dir access time, but have no idea how to make rsync not update it.

I think it worked correctly when source was listed as /media/B/* but unless I did something wrong, this expansion disables correct functionality of --delete. And I definitely do not want to make the global mount dir owned by that specific user.

Can someone advise?
