Why does my laptop BIOS have to try multiple times to boot

This is a very strange issue that started happening with my laptop (Lenovo Legion) a week ago. When I press the power button after a shutdown, the keyboard and power buttons light up, and I hear the fan start spinning, but the screen does not light up at all and the BIOS logo never appears. This makes me believe it isn’t reaching POST.

If I leave it there for multiple minutes, it seems to shut itself off abruptly (there’s a loud pop as if you unplugged an AUX cord from an active speaker) and then restart. After it does this, it seems like something in the BIOS gets cleared because my keyboard’s RGB pattern gets reset to the default pattern instead of what I have it set to. After a minute or so, it does this again, and then finally boots normally. Sometimes I have to jump-start this process by holding down the power button to force a poweroff during boot, but it’s inconsistent. Also, sometimes it fails to wake up from sleep mode; this is also inconsistent. Is this symptomatic of anything in particular?

Are there any specific diagnostics that I can run? Technically the laptop works perfectly fine once it boots, but on top of it being annoying that it takes like 5 minutes to turn it on, I’m worried about the problem getting worse. I have tried reseating the RAM, but it didn’t do anything.
