Advice on connecting Bluetooth headset/mic w/disabled Bluetooth

1st off it should be noted that I’m not a tech pro & don’t know all the inner workings of computers. So, I work from home on a very nice company provided desktop PC. I was provided a wired headset & mic but that cord DRIVES ME SO CRAZY. It’s always in the way regardless how I situate it & let’s be honest, if I need to jump outta my seat for 5 Seconds, I can stay connected without missing anything…things happen & I wanna transparent wit yall. So I bought a new wireless Bluetooth headset/mic but when I went to set it up, evidently the company has the Bluetooth disabled on our computers. I was so disappointed. I use my own wireless mouse via USB dongle & it works just fine. Can I just buy a single USB dongle & connect the headset that way? And what do the IT see it as? Using our own equipment is more “frowned upon” rather than prohibited evidently bc if there’s an issue w/my system or whatever & I need to contact tech support, they can’t remotely fix it if it’s not their equipment. Most ppl do use a different headset but I don’t wanna ask anyone work related, dig? Am I making sense? I’m sorry. I appreciate y’all tho in short, wouldn’t a simple USB dongle be the most obvious & easy solution?
