User account m is a standard account. User account a is an admin account. Basically I want the make sure that process p.exe always runs whenever m is logged in and m cannot kill the process; and that is even if a is not logged in.
I can put a shortcut to p.exe in shell:common startup and remove m‘s rights from editing the shortcut; this, I think, will force m to run the process on startup (or won’t it? I still need to check if m can still disable the process from the Startup apps tab in Task manager). However, I checked that m can simply kill the process from task manager.
I tried marking the shortcut to be run under admin rights in shortcut properties, but then it is not run at all.
Can this be done?
Reason I’m asking: I’m trying to implement a parental control system. For starters, I want to make sure that m can only login between 6 A.M and 10 P.M.; outside of this time window, m is forcibly logged out. It was easy to prepare an executable that forcibly logs a user out depending on time; it is far less easy to make sure that this executable is running in the first place.
And yes, I know, there are multiple already existing parental control applications; but as a personal exercise and for learning, I want to try and implement one myself rather than rely on an already present one.
