To create .ecc file with DVDisaster you have to create ISO of error free disc. In user’s manual of DVDisaster there is an instruction on how to create ISO of error free disc with DVDisaster. But can you create .iso for this purpose with another program, like ddrescue? When you will create .ecc file for this third-party ISO, will it be functional?
Also, can you use DVDisaster to restore corrupted ISO made by ddrescue?
I have created A.iso with ddrescue for error-free disc, created A.ecc for this iso, created B.iso with DVDisaster and tried to verify A.ecc with B.iso, this is what I see:
Does it mean it’s compatible with ISOs made by ddrescue?
In Manual.pdf something related can be found by searching nrg, but I’m still confused.
