The printer, new, has a default password shown on a label on the back.
When I try to login to the printer’s web page, I get:
“Password Error Login Failure
The password entered is invalid, please try again.”
I have reset the printer and the very first time I entered the password I did not the “Password Error”, but the page didn’t change (I just see the same basic status page).
I have printed out the printer’s network config which clearly shows the default password and that is the password on the label.
This happens using the BrotherConnect app and on my Mac.
I’ve searched for a solution – seems a common issue, but none of the solutions (e.g. using passwords like “access” or “admin”) work.
