Changing Magento admin image upload Role defaults

By default when I upload an image to Magento using the admin panel, it includes all the Roles (Listing Hover Image, Swatch, etc.). I want it just to select Base, Small and Thumbnail roles. So is there a way for me to change the image uploads default Role selection? (i.e. from all the Roles selected to just the Roles I want)
