In Windows for all software publishers you get the UAC window, if it wants elevation (e.g., to install something). My favorite is when Microsoft Windows asks me whether it should trust Microsoft: Can we configure some software publishers to be automatically trusted by Windows?
I have Foxit PDF Reader. It updated itself to version 2025.2.0.33046, and a shortcut icon appeared on the desktop: C:UsersPublicDesktopFoxit PDF Reader.lnk. Can I configure Foxit PDF Reader not to create that shortcut, when it updates?
I don’t know what’s going on, is this an Atom text editor issue or WSL related? I know the editor is deprecated but I’ve never seen this error before.
