An Android phone connected over USB to a Windows computer presents itself as an MTP/PTP device (please correct me if I’m using wrong terminology). You can work with its contents in Explorer but that’s about it, no other software can see these files. Well, probably such software does exist but speaking of image viewers, all the popular choices like IrfanView, nomacs, etc. don’t seem to be able to display images from the connected phone. Why is this? Am I missing something?
