Does anybody else also have text selection and auto logging out issues on Google Search?

Google has seemingly become more difficult to use by orders of magnitude. Now even navigating plain Google search is no easy task. I have been having two specific issues with Google’s recent updates.

I am on Windows 11 and using Chrome.

First, Google always automatically changes the scope of my text selection and it is a tremendous headache for me. This has been going on for a while now. It is an issue when I search for something on Google and I try to select text for copying and pasting or to do another search with using that text. For example I do a search, see a word in a paragraph that I don’t quite understand so I would like to Google that word to get the meaning or relevant pages, but Google has made that nigh on impossible without doing some cutting edge cursor gymnastics. Google would always automatically expand the scope of my selection. I select a word and Google immediately expands that to include the entire sentence. This seems to happen with both the AI summary and regular search results. Anybody have a solution to this?

Second, after the most recent Chrome update, Google always automatically logs me out of my Google account after a while. I always have my browser open with various pages and do Google searches often. And sometimes with a new search I am suddenly logged. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with me running everything in incognito, but this has never happened before. Google used to always keep me logged in as long as I don’t close the window or end the chrome session.
