I have a perfectly functional printer at a static IP address, 192.168.1.44, on wired Ethernet. My Ubuntu computer prints to this printer just fine using IPP.
My Windows 11 PC has the correct printer model, IP address, and protocol. It sees the printer on the network (e.g. I can manage it from this PC). It used to print. I didn’t change any system configuration. Now nothing happens when I print a document or test page. Not even an error message.
The Windows print queue contains 1 document that was printed a long time ago. There is just an infinitely spinning progress bar. I clicked cancel and “yes I’m sure” 5 times but nothing happened.
All the while the printer is perfectly able to print documents from the Ubuntu computer.
It is possible that a Windows Update occurred. I am on 25H2 26200.9457. Does this version support the PRINT feature? (Or did Microsoft decide that it would be more convenient to focus on other things?)
