eBay Publishes Agenda and Speaker List for X.Commerce DevCon

eBay’s revamped Developers Conference will include seven tracks and 50 sessions with speakers from eBay, PayPal, Magento, Where, Milo and other companies in the industry. The X.Commerce conference will include a track on Mobile Commerce, not surprising given eBay’s aggressive move into mobile – it says it will double its mobile GMV to over $4 billion in 2011, and PayPal predicts it will process $3 billion in Mobile Total Payments Volume.

The Trends in Technology track will include a session on how eBay moved the eBay Marketplace from a traditional infrastructure to a cloud model and why it ended up with a hybrid – developing its own internal cloud while leveraging the massive infrastructure of public cloud providers.

eBay will also share how it optimizes for search engines, “so even the smallest vendor can grab the spotlight in a rolling flood of content,” in a session called “SEO Stands for: Sell Everything, Okay?”

The Trends in Commerce track discusses “SoLoMo” (Social, Local, Mobile) where it will demonstrate Milo APIs and will introduce and demo Where products and APIs for the Ad and Deals Network, the recommendation engine, and the PlaceGraph.

The X.Commerce DevCon will feature a separate track for each of the main eBay companies: eBay, PayPal and Magento. In the final track, titled, X.commerce, Sr. Director Platform Partnerships at X.Commerce Jeff King will share more about the company’s vision for its X.commerce platform, which cuts across all of eBay’s ecommerce properties.

More information about the tracks and speakers is available on the X.Commerce Innovate Conference website.
