Leicester (PRWEB UK) 29 April 2013
This weekend Williams Commerce were proud to announce the launch of a brand new, top tier eCommerce site for their long-time client GardenBird.co.uk. They intend to help the company expand their trade further than ever with an accessible and feature-rich online platform.
The new site features excellent design, thanks to the dedicated team of qualified developers based at Williams Commerce’s Leicester headquarters. The company built in Magento from the ground up, allowing for far greater cost effective flexibility compare to the previous platform used for GardenBird.co.uk. Magento is noted for its sturdy architecture and flexible design possibilities, with experienced developers able to introduce a near-infinite choice of features after launch, thanks to the community driven extension store, ‘Magento Connect’.
Garden Bird’s new site is targeted towards making it easier for consumers to find and order the products they care about, via a number of new features. Customers can now take advantage of the one page checkout system, expediting the order process considerably. Williams Commerce have also implemented category level ordering, to save time for customers who know what they want and need it quickly.
GardenBird.co.uk now includes redesigned sections for consumer interest, including an information section for identifying garden birds, complete with interactive call sounds, and easier browsing for their recent feature, ‘Simon King’s Wild Thoughts’, wherein the famed documentary maker covers questions and letters from the public.
There was a seamless transition from the old site to the new, with Garden Bird managing to enjoy a significant growth in sales over the Easter weekend, with a lot of interest coming from old and new customers alike.
