Gorilla Commerce Launches “In Store” Line of Magento Software Extensions – Virtual

Gorilla launches In Store Magento software extensions for Magento Enterprise and Community ecommerce websites.

(PRWEB) May 24, 2012

Gorilla Commerce, an award-winning ecommerce solutions provider, today announced the launch of In Store, a new line of Magento software extensions available on the Magento Connect marketplace. Sold through the Gorilla In Store Magento Extension website, In Store provides a range of functional and operational enhancements to merchants using Magento, the market leading open source ecommerce platform.

“As a Gold Solutions partner, who has worked with Magento since its launch in 2008, we’ve amassed a large amount of intellectual property around the platform,” said Brian Grady, Principal at Gorilla. “By launching In Store, we’re not only able to productize some of our proprietary IP; we’re able to release a line of fully tested, full supported software modules that benefit the entire Magento ecosystem.”

Created by Gorilla’s in-house development team, In Store software extensions are available for both Magento Enterprise and Community editions. In Store extensions come with complete installation and operating documentation and full technical support based on the industry-standard ITSM methodology. Unlike most new software products on the market, each In Store extension has been previously implemented as part an ecommerce solution for Magento merchants. This ensures that each In Store extension has been through a full development and quality assurance cycle and “field-tested” under real world conditions.

The first Gorilla In Store extensions to be released are the Magento Authorize.net CIM Integration module and , available through the In Store website and Magento Connect. Authorize.net CIM Integration is a key component of PCI Compliance, enabling the tokenization of customer payment information. This ensures actual credit card data is never stored within a site, while still enabling merchants to transact repeat and subscription-based purchases, without the need for customers to reenter payment information. This greatly enhances site security and virtually eliminates instances of fraud, a major concern for both retailers and consumers.

Gorilla will release several additional extensions in the week, including Faceted Navigation Multi-Select, which extends Magento’s out-of-the-box functionality with the ability to select multiple values for the same attribute, and a FedEx API Extension, providing merchants with an updated solution for the legacy FedEx API, which will no longer be supported after May 31, 2012. The launch of In Store reinforces Gorilla’s position as a leading full-service ecommerce solutions provider, adding to their design, development, strategy and post-launch managed services offerings.
