A question to all the Macbook users here- how compatible is ios with topics like deep learning, and in general, heavy programming?
I plan on transitioning from Android to Apple since their hardware is better, along with other reasons. However, I heard there are some compatibility issues. Specifically, because they don’t use Nvidia’s GPU, which means you cannot use Python’s Cuda library.
What are the alternatives and how good are they? E.g., Metal, Conda, etc.
What problems should I expect while trying to run software on GPU?
I find it strange that Apple promotes their AI accelerator HW and GPU cores, but doesn’t talk much about what software and libraries can one use for them…
