I’m a beginner programmer setting up my very first Virtual Machine (Debian bullseye) and am trying to wrap my head around Apparmor. When I read it manages “network access, raw socket access, and the permission to read, write, or execute files on matching paths”, in the last part I’m thinking to myself: “well doesn’t chmod do just that?” So I tried to figure out whether chmod is a part of Apparmor or if they’re two separate things, and I can’t really find the answer out there. Any help? Ty
