If I set Remote Desktop to start full screen, the view scales nicely to my 4k monitor, just like my local desktop. If I click on the button at the top to go to windowed mode, it keeps the nice scaling with a clear view. However, I get scroll bars on the RD. I can’t quite drag to fill a full monitor, so it will always have the scroll bars, which is very annoying when I need to access both the very top and very bottom of a program.
If I save the default settings to an RDP file and change the desktopwidth and desktopheight to slightly smaller than my 4k display, it doesn’t seem to do anything if the setting is still set to screen mode id:i:2 (full screen).
If I change the screen mode to “1” (windowed), then I can can drag the RD window to the maximum dimensions set. However, the RD display is tiny and blurry.
I want the default scaling, windowed mode, no scroll bars, and a not blurry image. Any way to achieve this?
EDIT: Changing zoom settings makes it even more blurry
