I have found that in Adobe After Effects, the best way to make complex movement for an object is to use parenting. So, I made two complex movement paths by attaching a moving object to differently moving parents.
But now I want to combine those two movement paths (or trajectories, or whatever you call them) into one sequence. But I can’t, since both paths are made with parenting to different objects, and when I unparent one, it just sticks with the coordinates of the parent at the time – it doesn’t keep the parent’s movements and transformations.
So, how do I unparent the object so it keeps the parent’s transformations? Or maybe there is some other way to convert movement, so I could get the object’s path relative to the world/screen, so I could get pure movement without relation to any other objects?
