I need your help in the following, please, can you tell me all the steps in detail about how I should configure my network and access the modem and router and have internet on my computers.?
If I want to access my modem, I don’t have to disconnect any cables? What configuration should the router have? The modem? Dhcp? Who should have a fixed, dynamic IP? etc..etc..etc ..
Currently I only have access to the router, but if I want to check the modem configuration, I must connect a direct cable from my PC to the modem, which I don’t want to continue doing.
Modem: TP-LINK TD-8616
Router: TP-LINK WR642G (more) 802.11 b/g, 2.4 GHz only
OS: Windows 10
Peripherals: 2 HP printers with WiFi and fixed IP addresses
