I work in IT and I’ve been having a lot of trouble getting the Java plugin to run in Internet Explorer for an employee who needs Java for some of her tasks. There are plenty of solutions that seem to work for others online, such as:
Going into Internet Options, Security, clicking Custom Level and enabling Scripting of Java applets
Clicking Manage addons and enabling the addon
Going into the Java Control Panel and enabling Java content in the browser
However, none of these solutions work for me. Even on my computer, I have everything installed, but instead of ignoring the addon’s existence, it says “The page you are viewing uses Java. More information on Java support is available from the Microsoft website.” along with a link basically telling me to install it again.
Is there a solution for this problem that still works?
