How to make haproxy abort connection when servers checks marks him “down”

I have a TCP-balancing haproxy for mysql with HTTP-checks. When checks marks server down haproxy stops to establish new connections, but existing one a still alive.
Is it possible to make haproxy abort connections when server becomes “down”
