I wish I’d known this sooner …

Last week, when I got my hands on a top-secret preview copy of “The Blogger’s Guide to Online Marketing” by The Web Marketing Ninja (the most mysterious member of the Problogger team), I knew I was in for a treat.

Problogger’s website, books, and events offer so much great information about blog monetization. And, the Web Marketing Ninja is an online marketing master I know quite well.

So, with this powerful “one – two” combination punch, I couldn’t wait to see what new strategies, tips and ideas would be offered in this book. I knew the Ninja would have good stuff to share, but I have to say this marketing guide for bloggers is fantastic!

From the very beginning, the Ninja suggests smart bloggers to follow.

These guys are experts in their field, who offer great advice. While a couple of these bloggers were already in my RSS feed, I quickly added the rest to make sure I was up to date. Super-useful contacts, for sure!

The Blogger’s Guide to Online Marketing offers a 31 step plan (chapter by chapter) that takes you through all of the essentials of online marketing. I like that each topic is covered, in detail, with case studies and specific action steps.

A lot of books offer step-by-step information and include tools and links that help get the job done, but many never fully explain WHY you should be doing each step. “The Blogger’s Guide to Online Marketing” does. So, you won’t feel lost or left behind. You’ll know exactly what you need to do to monetize your blog – and how to do it.

Topics covered include:

  • Bootstrapped branding for blogs
  • Creating customer personas
  • Split-testing strategies that work
  • Ads, affiliates, and traffic
  • Pricing and discounting dangers
  • and so much more!

My absolute favorite thing about this book is the insider knowledge The Web Marketing Ninja brings to the table. For example, he teaches his strategies for making a huge impact with a product launch. I’ve never seen this method covered elsewhere, and I know it works because I’ve seen it in action. So, if you have a product, service or website to launch – Chapter 20 will help you a lot!

In later chapters, he leads you into selling with your blog, and even hiring people to help you run and manage the business side of things as you grow. These in-depth, essential topics are generally skipped over and ignored by most other “how to blog” books.

If you’re going to start a blog, you need to focus or you’ll never achieve much.

This book is a practical, step-by-step guide that shows you exactly where your focus should be. You’ll learn how to implement the methods taught, all with the peace of mind knowing these are ethical methods that will stand the test of time.

In “The Bloggers Guides to Online Marketing”, the wise and all-knowing Web Marketing Ninja takes you by the hand. He shares his decade-plus experience to assist even the newest blogger in launching a blog-based business with the best chance of success. He knows about blog monetization, and it’s obvious.

If you’re a new, or experienced Blogger, be sure to check out Problogger and The Web Marketing Ninja for proven strategies that will help you make more money from your blog.
