Just for my curiosity purposes I’ve done a heavy stress test of my new CPU:
8C+12c Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF, 5200 MHz (52 x 100)
I did an extreme stress test using the licensed version of the AIDA64 utility. After testing under critical load for about one minute, the CPU experienced overheating and started throttling about 17%. The maximum allowed tempurate for this processor – is 105 degrees celsius. My question is, is it a normal behaviour that using the AIDA64 tool I can cause CPU overheating and throttling? Is that a sign of malfunction? Should I test or even replace the CPU or motherboard or water cooling system?
I’m using water cooling: Gigabyte AORUS WATERFORCE X 360
During the normal operation mode, there is no overheating nor throttling. This only happens when testing in the heavy stress load.
