Is Active@ Killdisk software the same as the Killdisk malware? (Repost)

I just found out there is a malware and ransomware named “Killdisk”.

There is also a software called Active@Killdisk I downloaded which is also referred to sometimes as Killdisk. It functions like Dban and is used to secure wipe hdd. Google says it’s from a company called lsoft technologies.

Can anyone please clarify if the software and the malware are the same thing or is this some weird coincidence?
