Is there any known way to remove a OneDrive account, from a Windows PC / account? I.e. that guarantees the OneDrive account can no longer be accessed, from that Windows account?
I already found the “Unlink this PC” link, inside OneDrive Settings. When I re-open OneDrive, it then shows a sign-in screen. However, appearances are deceptive.
When I re-enter my Microsoft account email, it signs back in again – without asking for any authentication (password, Windows Hello, verification code etc). I can create + delete files etc, and it affects my files on onedrive.live.com.
I have tried other methods as well. Nothing seems to work!

I have now removed my Microsoft account in the Windows Settings app, in Accounts > Your accounts. Same result. (Aside: I have also “Reset Windows Hello on all of my Windows devices”).

I tried rebooting after “Unlink this PC”. Same result.

I noticed the support page, Unlink and re-link OneDrive. This claims that you after you “Unlink this PC”, you can “Clear sign in credentials” (for all OneDrive accounts you have added?), using the following incantation:
- Press the Windows key + R to open a “Run” dialog.
- Enter the path %localappdata%MicrosoftOneDrivesettings and select OK.
- Delete the PreSignInSettingsConfig.json file.
This did not change the result.

I have tried uninstalling the OneDrive app, re-downloading it, signing out of my Windows account and signing back in again. This did not change the result.

I have tried
wsreset.exeandC:Program FilesMicrosoft OneDriveonedrive.exe /reset. These commands ran as expected, according to the support page Reset OneDrive. They did not change the result.
I am using a personal Microsoft Account, with an @outlook.com address.
