Is there any way to disable cache for frontend price block

What do folks think are good options for making a flatfile based, self-contained journalling app? I went down a rabbit hole with trying to get sqlite and its sqlcipher extension working before noticing that I didn’t see any examples of people getting that particular architecture working.
