I know that MacOS has a built-in library that is capable of checking words against a dictionary that can be localised to a certain “flavour” of the language. So I can load up a text in American English and if my system is set for British English, I get those wiggled lines underneath words in American spelling.
Now, I can change all words one by one, but is there a way to fix all words in a given text? I am using plain texts on TextEdit. I can check and correct spelling while typing, I can ask it to check document now and I can ask it to show and hide the wiggly lines. But I see nothing like “fix all” or anything of the sort.
Is there a built-in way of doing that or do I need specialised software?
