We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Ecommerce Software Developer for our multi-branded high street fashion Ecommerce concept. A key role, reporting to the Head of Ecommerce and the Group CEO; the Developer is accountable for managing and coordinating resources and processes to deliver base build and future functional enhancements of the online store, while participating in defining the strategy for the development team by driving initiatives that deliver on the company.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Work together with the Head of Development to execute projects, ensuring that the teams have appropriate technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines
Work closely with the Head of Ecommerce, Head of Development, Senior Web Designer, ERP Manager, and Business Analysts, for understanding the website’s functional and non‐functional requirements
Demonstrate leadership abilities to our 3rd Party resources with the development, integration, publication, enhancements and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules
Provide a web development plan that meets the future needs of our online store and web applications, based on the state of the art technologies
Evolve the online store, web applications and architecture in various areas as needed
Coordinate release and sprint planning
Help developers resolve both technical problems as well as human resources issues
Monitor individual developer and 3rd party resources’ performance
Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development
Skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a web development organization required
Must have at least 7 years of experience working through the design, development, release cycle, and delivering software products to market
A record of successful delivery of web applications as an individual
Strong understanding of the software development cycle
Strong problem solving skills
Experience with the development of an ecommerce store and other related web applications
Must be a Magento expert for both front-end and back-end developments
Must have a 360 understanding of the entire ecommerce processes and work flows
Must have an experience in integrating and developing modules for payment gateways.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Dynamics – Navision system flow
Relevant experience with web services, SOAP / API and REST
Highly skilled in PHP, CSS3, HTML5, Java script frameworks, XML
Understanding of relational and entity attribute value databases (MSSQL, MySQL)
Knowledge of Zend Framework and Object Role Modeling methodology
Willingness to dive into web environments and technical issues
High command of verbal and written English.
Interpersonal skills

Well organized, good communication and reporting skills
Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
