MS Project print preview does’nt fit the required timescale range

In the print preview display of MS-Project, you have the SETTINGS where tou can choose the timescale range inside which you want the gantt to be displayed. If you choose the option “Print specific dates” and fill-in the fields “Dates dd-mm-yy to dd-mm-yy”, the preview does’nt take into account this timescale range. Generally, the timescale right side is much later than required.
