Not able to open folder on VS Code on Windows

I cannot open my folder(Repository) on VS code.

If i go to “open folder” and select my repository folder (Name: Py4e),
Vs code takes no action I cant navigate through files of that folder in the explore tab.

But instead if i open a file, it opens as in the for of a text editor
