PayPal is launching a new website for its third-party developers and is kicking off a cross-country bus tour to attend several conferences and meet-ups, including the eBay On Location event. The new X.com website is designed for the new, expanded X.Commerce program that encompasses all of eBay’s properties, including PayPal, eBay, Magento, and GSI Commerce.
PayPal put its X.com website in “read only” mode over the weekend as it switched to the new version, which now features a new design, better search function, easier navigation, and improved documentation. A new page includes information on the X.commerce leadership team.
The Developers Program also announced a cross-country bus tour, which will make its first stop at SocialDevCamp Chicago August 26 – 28. It will also make stops at the eBay On Location September 7 – 8 conference and the Shop.org conference for retailers in Boston September 12th – 14th, 2011.
Magento, meanwhile, says it has Big Things Lined Up For Shop.org.
The X.commerce Developers Conference will be taking place in San Francisco on October 12 – 13, 2011.
