Pitney Bowes Collaborates with Magento on International Ecommerce Solutions

Pitney Bowes’ international ecommerce and logistics service is now available on Magento, an open-source ecommerce platform for retailers in which eBay has a 49% stake and plans to acquire outright.

Pitney Bowes built extensions between Magento and the Pitney Bowes ClearPath service that is designed to help online merchants reduce the challenges associated with international ecommerce.

ClearPath for Magento is available through Magento Connect. It offers an array of API-driven (Application Programming Interface) web services to facilitate cross-border sales to 200 countries; features include real-time duty and taxes calculation, returns management, international address validation, import and export restriction management, and guaranteed international delivery costs (no more CODs).

Pitney Bowes Vice President of Ecommerce Solutions Craig Reed said, “The potential of international ecommerce is tremendous, and we want to make it easy for retailers by offering a pre-built extension directly into the Magento platform. We are delighted to join the Magento Partner Program and look forward to helping retailers offer global shoppers a seamless cross-border purchasing and shipping experience to 200 countries worldwide.”

Pitney Bowes ClearPath also offers integration with other ecommerce platforms including Demandware, ShopVisible, WiPro and NetSuite.
