Re-enabling Exchange account on iOS Mail doesn’t show latest mail [closed]

When on holiday, I often disable my work email on my iPhone.

When I come back and re-enable it (Settings > Mail > Accounts > Exchange > Mail), the Mail app shows an empty inbox, but doesn’t refresh to show my email. I’ve tried refreshing my inbox (pulling down) and closing and re-opening Mail. I have to restart my iPhone to get the mail to sync again. “Fetch New Data” has “Push” enabled.
