I was checking Microsoft’s website for finding your Windows devices and saw that you could also lock them. I tested it by locking the very laptop from which I was accessing the website, evidently hoping to later unlock it somehow. However, I am unable to unlock it through the website, and as this thread demonstrates, it seems Microsoft hasn’t fixed the issue yet.
I have a separate disk partition with Ubuntu installed and am able to read from and write to the Windows file system from there. I was wondering, then, if there is a way to unlock the Windows OS by changing stuff on its file system.
