I have a MybookliveDuo and it’s been in use since around 2013/2014. Every now and then, and more commonly the status light (green) will go off, and I will lose access to the drive. It has been playing up a lot this week.
For now, I have powered it down and will leave it overnight to let it cool down.
On Amazon I have found the newer equivalent product, which looks like a newer variant of an identical product to my MybookliveDuo.
I have RAID 1 set up on my current MybookLive. Would I be able to just install the disks and then set up the new enclosure listed above; to RAID 1, or would it need a rebuild?
I have a backup, backups are made nightly to a wd passport portable disk. I hope I’m making sense.
I know the data is not the culprit here, as the disks statuses are ‘good’. FYI the disks are the Green WD disks. I also have a spare one, sealed in case I need it.
