I urgently need your help with an issue we are currently facing.
We are using Magento version 2.4.6-p15.
Under Stores → Tax Zones and Rates, we have created tax rates for various countries. For these tax rates, we have not selected any specific state/province or ZIP code. For the ZIP code field, we have used the wildcard *.
However, when we go to Stores → Tax Rules and create a new tax rule, selecting the tax rate that was previously created (as described above), Magento automatically assigns the following conditions:
Country: Germany
State/Province: Bavaria
We do not know how this setting was created or why Magento is adding Bavaria automatically.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue before?
Is there a configuration file, database entry, or setting where this assignment could be stored and corrected?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
