My ThinkPad has been heating up pretty badly lately, so I decided it was about time to repaste the CPU and GPU. Everything went as expected, except for one fan where I seem to have ripped off the latching mechanism. As you can see, the 6-pin connector from the fan should plug into the 6-pin port on the motherboard (marked in red). I believe there were two very thin, horizontal metal pins (marked in yellow) that went into the side holes of the fan connector, but since there’s nothing left there to secure the connector anymore, I’m not exactly sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated
